So the idea is to set up a Class of 1975 Bursary Fund, with the aim of supporting a Foundation pupil who comes to Reed's with a young life already shaped by significant life challenges—such as abandonment, bereavement or being on the edge of care—funding them through their entire time at the school, i.e. five to seven years.

While this will be in honour of all those of our year who are no longer with us, for many it will also serve as a heartfelt thank you.

Sharmaine has indicated that the amount needed year-on-year would be a minimum of £5,000. The purpose of this page is to track pledges of support as they're made, so giving us an idea of how close we are to reaching—and ideally exceeding—that target.

A full-on crowdfunding site seems a little over the top for this, so I'm just using a simple table. Yes it's a bit rough-and-ready, but I think better than nowt.
