Greetings folks, and welcome.

So this is a Web implementation of the Photo Gallery I put together for the Reed's School Class of '75 50th anniversary get-together, Old Reedonians Reunion Day, Cobham, 29th June 2025.

A few notes:

1. The Gallery was originally developed for display on a particular computer with a known screen resolution and known fonts installed. Your machine may have different screen settings and different fonts, so some bits may not display perfectly. Links will all still work though. Full-screen photos should be fine.

2. This design is semi-responsive. That is, where necessary, text should resize to fit devices of different sizes. However, tables such as those on the 'Prime' and 'R.I.P.' pages have not been coded to reflow. So if you try to use the site on, say, your phone, make sure to use landscape mode. Portrait is a sure no-hoper.

Thus          not

3. The Gallery is at its best at full screen (as in the landscape photo above). It's not essential—just looks better. To do this in Chrome, click on the three vertical dots top right, and then the square icon in the 'zoom' option. Function + F11 does the same thing. To return to non-full-screen, keep the Esc key pressed. You'll have to figure this out yourself for other browsers . . .

4. About the sub-menus:
  • 'School,' 'House' and 'Team' are pretty self-explanatory: photos by year from our era. Underlined means there's a photo, not underlined there ain't. Clicking on a link will bring up that photo in full-screen.

  • 'Prime' showcases photos folks have sent in illustrating (some of) what they've been up to and/or are proud of in the intervening years. Again, clicking on a thumbnail will bring up that photo in full-screen.

  • 'Other' is for other interesting/entertaining photos and snippets. Click on the title for the image full-screen.

  • 'R.I.P.' is a Rembrance page for the eight of our Class of '75 no longer with us.

5. I've done what I can to minimise image sizes, but there's no getting round it: some of the photos are big, and will therefore take time to load. This is particularly true of the whole-school photos—they have to be big in order to see the details. You'll probably want a Wi-Fi connection for loading speed.

6. If you don't want to see this page again, bookmark the next one: https://reeds75gallery.com/menu-main.htm.

7. Feedback (effusive praise only) to ianmyles16@gmail.com.

8. All that said, on with the show.
